Battle Report - Warhammer Old World - Hungry Hungry Dragons

 Hello Folks,

Got the chance yesterday to play a game of Warhhamer Old World, I was a practice opponent for the upcoming tournament.

I took Wood elves, with a big dragon, 2 tree lords (just painted em) core full of archers and done wild riders.

Facing High Elves also with a dragon and fair amount of shooting.

Mission was pizza deployment, with a side mission of capture table quarters.

Here's the deployment, I have some scouts on the left, Freeman, big line of archers with arcane bodkins, wardancers and other tree in thd forest, dragon behind, and more scouts up front. Both scout units have swift shards for lots of shots.

I got the first turn and made the dastardly high elves fight in the shade, unleashing a storm of arrows. Plus dragon flew over to eat up thd flank.

High elves fired back doing some good damage to a treemam and advanced.

My turn again, my Scouts finished off sone fast cav on thd left. Wild riders came on, and the dancers took up behind a wall to nake the swird masters life hard. Shooting going well for me.

High elves got ready for next turn. Dragon behind the sword masters, chariot behind 5 spears. More shooting but nothing crazy, despite doing good damage turn 1 they can't seem to bring down my treeman.

My turn again, dragon eats a bolt thrower, and the dancers charge and with an absurd number of attacks push back the sword masters.

High elves turn again. Dragon and chariot gobble up my archers, sword masters push back the dancers. Think that's the main action.

Last picture I remembered to take. But end of the game we both had our dragons, and a few archers, but I still gad both treeman. Pretty much everything else died. So it was a win for md by 500ish points or something.

Looking at this pics I wonder if I missed a frenzy charge with the wildriders, or if they were just out, but they didn't do much except die so I suppose no big  deal.

Also got to play some marvel on Sunday, but only took 2 pics do not enough for a full report.

Thanks;

Mike
