Battle Report - Warhammer 40k - Carnage!

Hello Folks,

Another long weekend so time for some more gaming! Got together to play a multiplayer game of 40k, using the carnage scenario. Saturday was Warhammer day so perfect time for Carnage.

I took some Eldar I have been working on plus some older stuff, Nick had his Tau, and Tim used my Imperial Guard.

This scenario has random turn order and you can start very close if you want. All the more carnage.

Here's is the set up. The green crystal in the middle is the objective, who ever controls it at the end, or murders everyone is the winner. Tau top left, Guards top right, and Eksar bottom left. I set up mostly cowering behind the hill, but put a big Wraithlord right in the Taus face, plan to take out there giid stuff early.

Most people just shift around, but my big guy took out the Tau battle suits which is good. Guard taking cover in the rocks. The guard had an assassin charge the tank, but he got tagged by a rail round in overwatch and died.

Tau turn to move first now. They move up a tank and lay down a torrent of fire on the weaithlord just barely killing him. The guard have a fire fight with the Tau 8nfantry and that side of the tank and kill most of them.

Tau moving up again, focusing on the guard as allot of my stuff is hidden.

Fire dragons come over the hill ad do there job assuring thextanks destruction. Every is starting to loose allot of guys now.

Guard take cover along the hill. Starting to look like I'm the only one with allot of guys, but space elves do die easy!

Big turn here. The dire avengers and pathfinders mostly wipe each other out. Also with the tank dead the Ogryns go on a rampage stomping guys 8n close combat. Meanwhile on the far side of the hill the Eldar are cleaning up the guard, but the waro spiders take significant losses.

Mist guys are dead now, as we head for the final battle for the hill.

Last warpspiders take out the last Tau remnants as the Ogryns finish the fire dragons.

Game ends with one Ogre facing down a full unit and a farseer. Bit to much even for him so the haunted space crystal and the game go to the Eldar.

Was a fun game with lots of carnage! Good to get back to some more 40k games. The new paints have definitely got the warhammer interest going again!

Thanks;
Mike
