Battle Report - Panthers vs Guards Heavy Tanks

 Hello Folks,

Another battle done, this time flames of war Bagration game. We both ended up going for heavy tanks, I took a platoon of panthers and one of tigers, facing a guards heavy tank company with IS-2 and an IS-85 platoon.

Also this game made me realize they made tigers better and panthers worse, so they are almost the same now.

Almost Christmas so I sent up a nice winter table, I knew before hand the russians never had a horde so assumed Russian heavies so I figured the smaller board would be good.

For the mission annihilation, the spirit of Christmas and all that.

Russians get the inactive after spearheading forwards. But their luck is pretty bad and only bail 1 panther.

Also like all the t34, big down in the woods. To many Christmas decorations?

German return fire is devastating, the russians have lots of armor, but roll lots of 1s.

Shooting back they kill a panther! On my turn the tigers flank to wipe out the t34s. This is a game for big tanks only!

Russians keep uo the fire, but mostly IS-85s left that can't easily penetrate. Still kill a panther and get a bail.

Tigers flanking through the wood, and 1 bogs! That is a dangerous woods. Other wise keep chopping away at the IS-85s.

Russians finish the platoon of panthers. Using shoot and scoot to try and stay to cover.

Tigers managed to flank around and get the last platoon, while the marders get the commanders. So a victory fir the Germans.

Mostly due to very bad turn 1 luck but that's how it goes. Fun game never the less.
