Hello All,
Time for some Cangames fun! Going to split this up into three posts, 1 for each day.
On Friday I ran a 15mm Samurai game using the By Fire and Sword Rules.
Here's the set up, warrior monks and Ikko-Ikki on the far side attacking Samurai. No real scenario just a straight up fight. Possibly I put down to many units for the size of the table.
Advancing up and getting into position.
Monks are keeping their cav more as a flank, Samurai sending theirs straight in.
Little bit of shooting, action really going to kick off next turn.
The cav clashes, with the Samurai unit being broken, lots of shooting doing damage as well. Samurai cav on the far side did better breaking their target and pursuing them off the edge.
Withdrawing the cav by the town as there's just to many guns and bows, otherwise the infantry creep forward.
Lines reforming, with the monks setting up a big firing line off the town.
Another big charge coming. Plus Samurai cav charging a bunch of peasants who hold!
Thr fight by the forest was pretty even. At this point we ran out of time, or maybe more came to agree that the game was over. Lots of units are beat up, but close to have the Samurai force is broken, vs 1 monk unit, so seems like a clear monk win.
Seemed to work very well, just my opinion but this is, easily the best game for Samurai battles.
Thanks;
Mike
