3rd Ed 40k Tournament

 Hello Folks,

This past weekend there was another 3rd edition Warhammer 40k tournament! Of course I had to attend and decided to take my newly painted Dark Eldar army themed as Iyanden Corsairs.

Furst Game: Cleanse vs Tyranids

Capture table quarters and don't get eaten by nuts should be easy right. I deployed first and put my talos's front and center to push them back. Other stuff on various edges so they can advance to the other quarters.

Turn put a couple wounds on the tyrant, kilked some genestealers amd moved around a bit.

Tyranids advance and shoot back nothing crazy.

Failed to kill the tyrant sadly, bad Dark Lance luck.

Kids getting some assaults in which is not what you want. Have good speed but lots of short range weapons. Maybe should have kept my stuff closer together blast 1 unit good instead of spreading out.

End up nearly tabled, solid nid victory.

Game 2: Recon vs Orks

This mission has deep deployment zones, but you still can't deploy within 24" of enemies. But no deep strike or infiltrating which is a bit lame.

Orks get the first go but dont accomplish to much.

I am able to take out their fast stuff like bikes and trucks quickly which makes life very difficult for them.

Everything else gets ripped apart by shooting.

In the end all the orks got killed and I have a few units in their zone. Solid won for me.

Game 3: Facebook Kicking vs Space Marines

Marines set up for a last stand in their building with bikes and assault Marines flanking.

Marines advance and pepper me with shots no major losses. Apart from a transport vehicle.

Shoot em back pretty good, kill a few terminators with a disintegration cannon. 

Marines press forward on the right, assault a talos with assault Marines, snipers take out the other.

Prince Yeriel does some drugs and with the witches the Marines get butchered and the talos is saved. Mamdrakes assault some devistators, but they suck and get their teeth kicked in.

Dreadnought walks in the open flaming the mandrakes.

Yeriel and his little buddy do more drugs and kill the devistators and eventually terminators and firce commander.

Tons dead on both sides, but with only like 1 marine alive its a win for me again!

Did quite well overall with 2 wins and was chosen as the coolest army! Very nice.

Did not expect the dark eldar to do this well but very fun event either way! Look forward to the next.
