Battle Report - Fandom Fantasy

 Hello Folks,

Today was Warhammer day at Fandom, we did 1500 pts this time as the last tournament was 2k.

First game I played Russels high elves, gif shot apart but forgot to take pictures.

Brettonians vs Dogs of War

Second game was fighting the deadly digs of war, scenario is duels extra points for winning duels.

I took my knights this time to mix things up. 2 units of knights, 2 of men at Arms big unit of bows trebuchet, and all the heroes to make the points. I dint have tons of stuff.

Moving up into killing range, cannon chipping away a guy here and there.

Men at Arms on the left try to keep the light cav back, archers shoot up thd unarmored guys, Got lucky at one point and killed 7 of the skirmishes.

Good gut knights charge the evil mercenary knights who flee right off the table, while the foot troops close in.

Soon someone is going to get stabbed I swear.

Frenzied guys crush the archers.

Then I forgot the pictures again. Eh I killed thd crossbows on the hill and the cannon blew itself up. Both my knight units charge some infantry on the last turn but they were stubborn and held.

We didn't feel like doing the math but I am calling this a draw.

Thanks;

Mike

Painting Update - Maya and Heavy GeR

 Hello All,

Time fir a bit of a painting updated, been working on some mord Maya stuff for Mythic Americas plus a bit if Heavy Gear stuff for their yearly painting thing.

Camazotz:

First up a giant bat monster. This guys base is about 5" in diameter so he is a big bat indeed. Pretty east to paint but big resin models a bit if a pain to assemble.

Children of Xibalba:

Classic jaguar men, ready to shred the enemy. These guys are resin as well, bit easy to break the spears but not a disaster. They are good at killing guys do you gotta do what you gotta do.

Rabbu:

First of the new models for Caprice. These are all 3d printed it turns out. They are pretty nice, brittle but easy to assemble.

Maru:

A squad of little guys pretty fun.

Ba'alim Frame:

Then a big guy to round thing out. Need to paint a few more models to have an army but all in good time.

Bought: 113 got some classic space marines
Painted: 152
Total: 39

Thanks;
Mike

Warhammer Fantasy - Tournament Report

 Hello All,

This weekend attended a Warhammer Fantasy Tournament at Red Dragon, time for some 6th edition action.

I took a Chaos army with 3 groups of warriors, 1 chosen with Mark of khorne, giant and some fixings.

Game 1: Search for the Cursed Book vs Strogi

Here's the set uo for game 1, can't really see but objectives are down the center my plan to send the khorne berserkers down the middle and crush face.

The vampires move up and summon some skeletons infront of the right warriors, but the berserkers are frenzied and forced to charge off on an adventure.

Berserkers flanked by ghosts, while the giant fights ghouls, and vampires. He rolls yell and ball so auto wins by 2 dripping the vampire.

Next round things moving around trying to get into the objectives. I got my demon flesh hounds to charge in and save the berserkers from the ghosts, they have magic attacks so can get em. The giant jumped up and down and got the ghouls.

Vampire time, more ghouls charge in to fight the dogs but a bit to late.

These bats flying around are becoming very annoying!

Ghouls fighting the giant, they kill the poor guy but he falls on them killing like half!

Getting diwn to the dregs now.

Remains of the ghouls charged the berserkers, causing them to run off in the wring direction again! My Chaos lord charged out t9 beat up the bats. In the end I contested 2 objectives, and 1 of those was real so its a draw! Very fun game.

Game 2: Heroic Defense vs Goblins

Here's the set up for this one, bit of a different deployment. I have to defend the objective by the berserkers this time.

Turn 1 advancing some bits, mainly trying to get the warmachines and goblin 'knights' on the right.

Chariot vs dogs, dogs win!

Goblin knoghts were afraid of the giant and just ran! Otherwise the goblin hordes close in.

Slowly moving around, dogs get 1 war machine.

Trolls come in, time for a real fight. My lord has a reding blade doing d3 wounds which is keeping me in it.

Missing the last few turns, the goblins give it a good go and killed lots of guys, but I am able to keep the berserkers in place. So its a sin for me.

Game 3: the Ritual vs Necharch vampires.

Set up, facing lots of magic and and banshees. I got to get 650 points into the enemy deployment which is kind of crazy.

Advancing up no time to hold back.

Terrible picture taking, but ghosts tried to charge the giants but out of range, then got killed by dogs. Graveguard charged my warriors, who held but betsekers counter charged and crushed em. But as you can see magic doing major damage.

Skeletons with the vampires charged my warriors and push them back, but leaving an opening in the lines.

Giants and berserkers crush the knights. Now it's a race, cam I get enough guys in the zone and keep them up, or will banshees and magic wipe me out.

Chariot blocking lots of stuff heading back, I'm feeling confident.

Banshees chasing down killing guys like crazy.

I blocked with the giant, but the big vampire was able to leave his unit on the last turn, and put the dread spell on my unit with the Chaos lord. The banshees were then able to panic him off.

Very close fun game, I think of i had thought to bring my lord out of the unit I could have won maybe.

Anyways that's the tournament.

Thanks;

Mike
