Battle Report - Battletech!

 Hello Folks,

Time for battletech! Finally got around to playing some Clan Invasion era vatyketech with the new plastics.

Today we have Clan Jade Falcon invading an Inner Sphere weapons testing facility up to their old games.

I took an Adder a Nova. The Inner Sphere defended with Marauder, Archer, Shadow Hawk, and Thunderbolt.

We are just more or less playing a scenario from the DFA wargaming group which amounts to 10 turns of big stomp robot murder!

Turn 1, for advancing and declaring duels. The adder starts a duel with the marauder, placing a ppc shot very near him ti get things going. My nova flies up in the mountain and duels the shadow hawk.

Not much to report turn 2, the sphere are keeping with the duels, for now... Meanwhile the combats pile shots into each other, or in the case of the inner sphere they try their best...

By turn 3 thing are getting interesting up in the mountains! The Nova finds himself in a three against one situation. But my adder pilot is enjoying his duel and is not really bothered.

Turn 4, more brawling mostly. The archer tries to interfer in the duel but mostly misses, so no harm no foul.

Turn 5 the adder is feeling the heat a bit and the hits are adding up. The Nova is having a grand old time flying around and giving out fitfully of lasers however, these guys have lots of armor.

Turn 6 the adder has had about enough and places a ppc shot neatly into the marauders head, done deal. How ever the guys down swinging destroying my left torso and arm, hmm...

Turn 7 explosions rock the camera as the clan mech is destroyed.

Last 2 turns we have some annoying falls, and in a particularly bad run of luck the Nova takes a sensors hit. I forget when this happened but it was towards the end.

By the formal rules of combat we both have a mech destroyed, and without sensors the Nova is technically crippled! So a minor win for the sphere,  and some unhappy clanners!

Was great to play some battletech after many years, surely more games to come.

Thanks;

Mike
